Obit: Hats off to Wham-O's ingenuitarian

He made 'em bounce, and bounce they did,
Over buildings, trees, and most unbid hid...
And frisbees flung, would hover bliss
All songs unsung, belonged to this
Hours and days, to weeks and years
Fun deployed what joy reveres
And fickle though our passions were,
We noticed love, let it occur
To Richard Knerr I give salute
His influence you won't refute
For subtile meaning's abounding cheer
His life and times brought peer to peer.

Well done, Richard!

I have tossed a Frisbee or two in my time, but the one bizarre recollection that comes to mind is of a free-thinking hippie couple's attempt to utilize a Hula Hoop while performing "in flagrante delicto" at a Bay Area rock concert in the sixties. I suppose the fact that music was being performed at the time somehow qualifies this for a Mudcat music thread, no?

Take a bow, JT...

It takes a 'special' kind of person who will go out of their way to admonish a forum for not placing an obituary in a B.S. section... you are what you are.

I know I speak for all Frisbeetyrians when I say that Dick's soul has surely landed on the highest roof of all and will remain there forever.
