Not long now!! See Crediton website for festival info! There's a Mad Hatters Tea Party on the Sunday afternoon, book your meals in advance if possible!

Really looking forward to the MudGather, but regret to say that I've mislaid the MadCat - if anyone knows where I might have lost it, please let me know! Think I might not do a raffle at the MudGather, so you can all relax & have a good sing *grin*

And Herbaceous Border is on the website too! Come and dance (or play) in the courtyard of the Ring o' Bells Saturday 3.00pm and Sunday 2.30pm. The more the merrier!

I did have some musicians lined up, but the plans have fallen apart, so it'd be great to hear from anyone who would be willing to play for us on either (or both) days.

George - It was Pete and John wot wrote the programme! I suspect "bijou" was nicked from estate agents' blurb, as in "small" - in this case, the Ring O' Bells skittle alley. According to the info received so far, you will be the finishing highlight, so if you think bling will help you sparkle that's up to you!

Hils - P&J have asked us to run a session interspersing floor singers between booked performers from 6-11pm in the Ring O'Bells marquee on Saturday, so we should make most of the Mudgather.

That's good news Kitty, I'll wander down & have a listen, or maybe a song if there's a spare slot on the day!

Chris - I can think of much more suitable items to substitute for the missing MadCat than that Inebriated Puppy!!! Has he been washed yet/ever? He could make a Sewer-Rat swoon at 50 paces last time I saw him & the Fox was none too keen either!

After wading throughcuddly teddies bunnies puppies and various furry things I could not identify I finally found a small ginger cat that is clean and quite cute although not of course with the presence of the inflatable one.(Mr Scarecrow helpfully asks if its loss makes you feel deflated!) It might do until the usual one returns and I'll take it to the Banbury fundraiser at the weekend for MGAS approval

Splotty and I are dressing up for the teaparty in very suitable attire!! I thought we wouldn't swop places ALL night cos we would get dizzy and probably fall over, - just after the soup course and then the main course. I think we ought to have a prize for the best dressed character. What do you think? Maybe we could put it to the Jury. And by the way - no mushrooms!

Have to say that Sue the Borderer came up with the great idea of people coming along to Bideford on the Thursday to see Capella while we were at Banbury. What a great end to the festival to have a Mad Hatters Tea Party.I THINK Merek was the best out of the fancy dress with Pattie,Ned,Andy and Jillie.I suppose we all came first who ever dressed up in any sort of costume.
It was a pity it had to rain on the Saturday.

Found: one large blue step for campervan. It belongs to the gent who was parked at the top of the farm lane next to us. He was singing in the Ring of thingys on Saturday afternoon, he uses a stick to aid walking, sorry no idea of his name. He has a lovely voice but I haven't seen him at any another festival though.

We had a lovely time, Mad Hatters TP lived up to it's name and costumes were all good. We had lots of laughs, oh and pics as well. Mmm, not sure how to show them though. I'll think on that one. Think I may have a flicker account.

Gone now

I think the blue step belongs to Tony Truscott - he's from Cornwall; I imagine Pete & John will have contact details.

I really enjoyed my first visit to Crediton - despite the weather. Must admit I found it much easier to sing in the Half Moon than the Ring o'Bells. Good to see so many Mudcat (and Myspace) friends; had to leave before the Mad Hatters Tea Party but was very impressed by the costumes I saw - especially Pattie & Ned!

See you all again soon!

Crediton was a great weekend dspite the wind and rain on Saturday. I really enjoyed Thursday when I was looked after by John M & John H who took me to Bideford - excellent evening with Capella - and who were wonderful neighbours for the weekend. Thanks to Hils for organising the Mudgather, what a pity we didn't have longer. And thanks to my good friend Sally who I had arranged to meet up with - we had a great time, especially Sat in the Ring O'Bells in the early hours with much singing and, unexpectedly, dancing - which the Landlord joined in with too! It was a pleasure to have such friendly bar staff in both pubs. So a big thankyou to Pete and John, I shall definitely be going to Crediton Festival again!

We looked in briefly at the start of the Mudgather, but needed to get back to the Ring o'Bells for some food, and because we needed to make and keep a space for the evening singaround. Many thanks to all the catters who made it such a good evening singaround! And such a brilliant weekend, despite the rain on Saturday.

Managed a day there, KB ended up having to work. Great to catch up with you all after what seems like an endless winter! Thanks to all who liked the new look me! I am feeling a lot better than of late and looking forward to the festival season! Great mudgather, Hills, Thanks, but I still didn't manage to put names to faces though! I was the one who sang near the end on the step up to where the pool table was. (sang The Labourers Year - the one about cider and singing) for those of you who didn't know me! (there were a couple who didn't recognise me!!!)
Lovely to catch up with George and Nessie! Thanks George for making me bawl at the concert at the half moon. And WOW what a great concert that was! Great to catch up with Tony Truscott again too. Happy Birthday for tomorrow Jillie! Well done Pete and John.

Hi Hawker - I really enjoyed your song but didn't recognise you even though you're my friend on Facebook! Must be that the "new look" you is different from the old look - is your hair a differnt colour and are you thinner than the photo on Facebbok?!!!. I was sitting on the long wall opposite you. Well, I hope we meet again properly another time!

What a lovely weekend despite the rain! Well done to Pete & John and all the helpers behind the scenes who made it possible. I think we all felt that Col K was still there with us, though the indoor camping was quieter this year!

Lovely to see so many Catters at the festival & many thanks to all who came to the MudGather. Once again, apologies for the time confusion, it was definitely one of those communication glitches that come up occasionally. And as for being a victim of it's own success, that's an understatement *grin* There's no way we could have got around everyone in the shorter time available, especially with the room change partway though! So thanks too to those who passed the Cat on so that others could sing their songs.

Mind you, the fact that festival-goers were seeking shelter from the rain probably had something to do with the overcrowding!! We managed to explain the MudCat to lots of curious people and hopefully they will turn up here at some point. Just hope that they get a good impression and don't turn up during one of the heated exchanges I've seen more and more of these days.

Gill - I'm surprised how much of Sunday night I do remember. Perhaps we should have a party for the dogs next year?
