BS: Mudcat, Your perceptions.

25 Feb 08 - 03:26 PM (#2272119)
Subject: BS: Mudcat, Your perceptions/contributions.
From: Georgiansilver

I come to mudcat largely for the music threads and content. However, I sometimes...well quite often really, take a look below the line to the BS threads to explore whatever I might have an opinion on or a lighthearted comment to make about.
What do you come here for please?
Best wishes, Mike.

...to get away from painting my house.

Oh, and plumbing. I'm supposed to be doing plumbing this afternoon.

But mostly, I come here for the songs. The stories behind songs fascinate me.

Tell ya' Joe....I hate plumbing! None of their crap ever works like it is supposed to work. Like those wonder couplers that connect galvanized to copper or copper to plastic or whatever.........my---dick!......the freakin' things are complete trash. Now someday, a real plumber is going to show up at my house and see the "pipes" and proceed to laugh his ass off. Fuck him. The stuff works at least as long as their shit does! Yep.....I have an automotive background so I come up with automotive style solutions......and like I said, they work!

Um, gnu, I hate to tell ya, but it'd take a lot more than some "nice goodies" to spruce up Spaw's equipment! I don't think they sell what he needs!

I come here because the Mudcat allows Glaswegians. I'm not one, mind you. In fact, I'm not sure I even know what one is. But it's damned nice that Max doesn't toss them out on their ears.

...cause I'm getting to this dizzy Lucy (from I LOVE LUCY) stage in life where I am forgetting lots a stuff....and even tho mudcatters are prob in the same age category - they know all the words to my favorite songs.

I do wish they'd serve more snacks tho. Nothing fancy. Just a few cheese doodles, some grapes and perhaps and a nice box of cookies is all I ask.

Actually Sinsull had a wealth of ignominious crappola piling up, a Crap Buyer monkey on her back, and an Evil Mind. She came here to meet a few folks that she could lure into friendship and then unload her gawdawful, obnoxious, and often disgusting, garbage on them while purporting it to be Super Duper Shinola when it point of fact it was Complete Crummy Crap.

Well, they do if I combine the two.... because then I want the heating on higher and the ladies having 'power surges' complain.

For many of the reasons above and also because you get a quicker response than from those telephone help lines. You know, press 1 to hold, press 2 to be cut off, press 3 to be kept waiting while your bill gets higher and higher ......etc....

Also because its amazing, of course!

Best wishes,

Peter

Bathwater can be recycled, you know. It is possible to use the same bath water for an entire week (assuming one bath a day for most people). All you really need is a small auxiliary heater to warm the water up in the tub prior to bathing, and there is a simple plug-in bathwater heater now available from the UK, and it was the inventive genius of Nigel Tufnel which made this all possible. (He's not just a rock n' roll visionary.) I recommend that everyone get one of these auxiliary bath water heaters and do the Earth a big favour by recycling your bath water. Do it now.

I've been waiting for Sinsul's comeback to 'Spaw. He must have shocked her into silence with his gentle, reasoned statement.

C'mon, 'Spaw, don't hold back, tell it like you see it!

LH, wouldn't a better idea be to use the oil tankers that bring the West's oil to take our bathwater back? They could use it as ballast, then pump it ashore to grow date palms.
I like dates.

Speaking of safe...

I never really understood this "safe sex" thing. I worked in businesses that had safes, and some of 'em were pretty big as safes go, but I don't recall seeing one big enough for two people to even squeeze into, much less have sex in.

Sure, you could have sex in a bank vault. You could have a friggin' orgy in some of 'em. But that would be "vault sex" wouldn't it?

That's a handsome combination on that blue safe. Generally, when it comes to sex, blue is not safe. But ya never know -- the wheels keep turning, the tumblers keep falling, and suddenly the door opens to a whole new experience.

I come here 'cos it's more interesting, and quieter, than going out*. If a thread name attracts me I'll have a look and maybe put my spoke in. If not, well, what the hell. I have a couple of good PM friends here, it's extremely unlikely I'l meet them but afain, what the hell. Over the years various 'catpersons have sent me cds or tapes and I've tried to do the same whenever I could. There is a tendency for some people to talk to each other over other peoples contribution to threads, but it's mostly the people who know each other, yet again, what the hell.
Generally speaking I like it here and would miss it if it wnet away.
