'Wallflower Waltz' on NPR recently?

Hello everybody,

I just received a private email (not on this site) where someone thought he or she had heard "The Wallflower Waltz" on NPR recently. As some of you know, I have written a song called "The Wallflower Waltz" (It is mentioned in some threads here).

What I'm wondering is if any of you heard the broadcast and if it was indeed my song. I know that kd lang has also written a "Wallflower Waltz." Maybe others have too.

If it is my "Wallflower," I am astonished because I only released it on a very limited cassette tape and I am not aware of any other recordings of it. There are copyright issues here as well or, more properly, royalties.

Did anyone hear the broadcsst in question? Was it my song?

Thanks for your help.

Sharyn

I've heard more from my source -- apparently it's "The Wallflower Waltz" by the Small Potatoes. Which should about wrap this up.

FTR, I think the correct title of the Small Potatoes song is "The Waltz of the Wallflowers", and you can see and hear them perform it Here

Hi, Jmaybury - You'll find the whole story of "Wallflower Waltz" in this thread (click). Songwriter Sharyn Dimmick is a friend of mine. She has a new CD which includes a recording of the song. Information on the CD in this thread.
She owes me a kiss on the cheek for helping with the research for the CD. Maybe I can collect a second kiss for posting this message promoting her work. She's a wonderful singer and songwriter - and a good friend.

Thanks, Joe.

At least the guest will be able to see if mine is the "Wallflower Waltz" he is looking for.

And, yes, you may have two kisses on the cheek when I see you next.

Thankyou, for your link, but unfortunately this wasn't the song I was looking for, It was about a young girl who fell in love at a dance and fell pregnant and then loses the man she fell in love with, it mentions something about her baby being called a rose? it is very sweet I think her man goes off to war Maybe? I do however like this song to, its very beautiful

Omg.
I have looked everywhere for your song. I listened to it as a little girl on cassette and absolutely fell in love. Is there any possibility of obtaining a copy

Jennifer, there are a gang of songs mentioned on this thread. Whose post are you referring to?
