It's simply one phrase repeated many times, the rhythm: E= Eighth note Q= Quarter DQ= Dotted Quarter H= Half DH= Dotted Half Rhythm E E | Q Q DQ E | Q H E E|Q Q DQ E | DH Notes: G G |G(up) F D C | B G G G|F(up) D C D| B Sorry for the semi-awkward presentation. The phrase was started every 2nd and 4th beat. I can't remember if the syllables were actual words or not. Any help would be great. Thanks, -DB |

I didn't delve deeply, but it looked like there were also threads that discussed the song too. It looks like a neat song! |

So, I left off the key signature and this is what I got: Click to playDoes that sound more-or-less like your tune? Can't say I recognize it, but I haven't listened to Sweet Honey in the Rock for a while. If you can send me a better MIDI, I'll be glad to post it. -Joe Offer- joe@mudcat.org |
