There is anti Nuclear War demo at Lakenheath (about midway between Cambridge and Norwich) at 1pm Sunday 18 May. There will be aTheatre of War bus circling the base and passengers are encouraged to bring items (dolls, ribbons, banners, etc.) to hang on the fence. Lakentheath is home to up to 110 B61 free fall nuclear bombs and has been involved in bombing of Iraq and Afghanistan. There will be speakers after the bus tour and then entertainment, picnics, etc. |

Not exactly an environmentally friendly complete and utter waste of time then. |

Them Scots are tricky people; you can't tell the boys from the girls. And who knows when you might have to nuke Inverness or the Orkneys? |

Oooo! the predictable cynicism of those so deeply indoctrinated into the establishment viewpoint that any dissent is to be sneered at. And on a folk music forum too - who'd of thought it. Good on you CND! |

Those involved in the Lakeheath protest receive the same admiration. |

Oooo, and don't forget The Irish! If nobody protests against nuclear weapons the Idiots In Power will begin to believe (even MORE strongly!) that the public accepts the use of such weapons... |
