The first four year olds I watched LDW and TCCB are all grownups. I have no idea how many times I've seen them, but it's a big number. They never get old, and they are just as neat to watch the fortieth time as they were the first. John, picture me salaaming atcher feet - or, well, don't picture it, as I can see you have a lively imagination, just accept my sincere admiration. ;-). |

One of the things I've most loved about folkie music is that it is indeed loaded with opinion; political, religious, philosophical. No wonder it's often unclear where to start a thread. I love hearing people sing passionately about issues, even those that are long defunct; the Spanish-American War, the Great Plague, the Wars of the Roses, Gnostic Theology, transportation to Australia, etc, etc. They really do cast a light on our current world. And I like to join in the fun. Thanks for all the great comments. |

In the old days, at the NFB, every time I thought of a "subject area" or an important point, I'd write it down. Like a naughty schoolboy, I used to write them directly on the surface of my desk. Alas, one day they gave us all new desks, and my notes vanished. Some topics I recall: "Stretch and Squash", "Timing", "Anticipation", and "The Unseen Cameraman". Nowadays Animation is MUCH cheaper it used to be. Just the translucent cel we used cost about $1000 per minute. Film itself cost a lot, and required pricey equipment to edit. The computer makes it cheaper, but not that cheap. You'd still need to spend (on software and hardware) the equivalent of a Vintage Martin Guitar, say, to really get going. cheers John |

It's animation at its most basic. A great place to start, though he can be a bit tedious. "A ten frame hold differs from an 8-frame hold, in that it is slightly longer, and lasts for a greater length of time." Highly recommended. |
