The American Bar on Sundays was the place when I lodged there in the 70s, otherwise just the sword team practice night at the same spot on Wednesdays. I know that isn't your scene, OG, but this will refresh your thread, and maybe drag some slightly more current info out of the woodwork.

Past threads seem to suggest that the Station Hotel (Top House) puts on some performances, but I don't know if there is anything regular.

Scarborough is reasonably close, I think you might find something there if Filey doesn't have owt.

Friendship is still on, Thursdays in the large room (drinks from the harbour bar below) with Mick H at the helm.

If you are getting up this far there is also the First In Last Out on Tuesday evenings, Stu Tonnar & Chris Coulter run that one. Let me know if you would like directions.

Unfortunate choice of week for me, Geoff, it looks as though I'll be out of town myself. FILO is generally pretty good IMO, though it has a tendency to late start (and finish!) that can be tricky for me. Hope you find something suitable & that we can meet up another time.
