Anything in this area please I shall be there first two weeks in August, used to get to some good nights out there, but this was late 70's early 80's. Harbour front cafe, Gt Western Hotel and Soroba Hotel as I remember - anything now please?

There is a session in that old pub beside the river on Wednesday nights (or at least there was a sign saying so when I was there at a different day of the week a few weeks ago). Can't remember the name, the Argyle Arms maybe?

I'd be interested too, I'm likely to be up there the middle two weeks in August.

I too was there on the wrong night, but I think the Wednesday session is in a venue called the Lorne. Look in the tourist information centre as soon as you arrive.
Unfortunataly McTavish's Scottish show has been discontinued. Enquire next door about events over the weekend.

Yes, the Lorne was it. I was probably getting mixed up with the name of the pub in Bunessan on Mull (which has ceilidhs regularly that I've never managed to get to).

Thanks, the Lorne was one of the venues I remember, also there used to be a pub at Lerags that had folk evenings, remember seeing Colin Grant-Adams there one night.
