Invitation to MIXED Session

All through Sidmouth Folk Week there will be a MIXED session in the venue known in the past as Legends , or The New Tavern - Actually the overflow bar for Carinas Night Club ! The 'Official' times are Middday till about 3 pm , and Eightish till the disco gets noisy .
Session Protocol is that No One tramples on any one elses song or tune once they are performing , but any one can join in . With the proviso that it is NOT Mayhem , and in theory Gerry Milne and I are nominally running it ! I WAS going to add this to the Session Rudeness thread , but decided to start a fresh thread and see if it lasts as long !
See Some of you there !!!!

Thanks for the info - the four of us will come along and say hello.

We play guitar/melodeon, fiddle, a singer, flute/recorders/melodeon. And we promise not to trample on any one else's song or tune.

So glad you didn't add this to the session rudeness thread.

I wish you a great time & I wish I could make it but my wings don't work over salt water.

Wish you all the best, Terry. From experience you two nominally run it as well as any I've ever seen.

I'm gutted that I won't be there this year, but I'll be back, by hook or by crook, for Sidmouth 2009.

um... I may pop my head in there but I don't really go there much anymore since the loss of the much loved Dove next door.

Terry and Marilyn, come to the ship at least once and join in if you can get in or just listen... they really are top notch at performing and a great bunch to drink and work with. I know Sidmouth and Chippenham really benefited as well as other festivals from all their hard work in setting up... (a few of them are task force)

I will try and spread the word but I cant promise anything. I would like my dad to get back into some of the sessions but he's so into smoking that it's open air sessions only for him atm :s

Ah! Terry. I'll pop in as I'll be at Sidmouth this year.

Aren't mixed sessions frowned upon by the Catholic Church?

"Aren't mixed sessions frowned upon by the Catholic Church?" Giulliver

No, G, I think it is more the same sessions the Catholic Church frowns upon. :)

Doesn't the Catholic Church frown on most things that are fun?
