Just thought that the Welsh National Eisteddfod should have its own thread.

In Cardiff 2 Aug 2008 to 9 Aug 2008

It's easier to read the attached link than to have me describe it!

What's on in the main pavilion (the big Pink tent)

If you're there, I'll be on or around stand 1717-1718 on Sat, Wed, Thurs & Fri. It's a pity that quite a few trad musicians will miss it this year as it is also Year of Wales at Lorient so cartloads of our artists will be over there. Still, there's a fair bit of folk/ trad happening; we've published a folk "what's on" which will be available on our stand.

Call in. I'll put the kettle on.

Is the 'What's on' saved in a format that it can be copied/pasted into this thread?

Just back from the Sunday afternoon session. Some rain, buts lots of undercover activities. Picked up lots of 'frebies' and bought a couple of Welsh songbooks.

OK - I should be around. Stand 1717-1718, with Ty Cerdd, and across from the Guinness wagon (hurrah), but also across from a very noisy outdoor stage (boo). If I'm not there, I'm not far off!

There may be cake. There will definitely be tea/coffee.

Hey, Nige - useful little books, them!

Doh, they do. Won't be worth paying the 12 for a lunchtime visit and don't have the time off...

No, it's expensive for just a quick look-in. Not as expensive as the Royal Welsh this year, though - £19???? Good grief! Quite a few good free concerts down at the Millenium Centre, though. On your bike, Sooze!

But, if you do come to the Field, I'm there Wed-Fri now, so call in!

I Know, I was lucky for the Royal Welsh show as was working up there and got entry sorted out in return for some work on our stand. But wasn't it baking! phew, too hot for me in the Royal Welsh heat bowl. (though last year my poor car was towed out of the mud by a tractor so better sunny than rainy.)

On me bike! better start peddling now, I'm not a keen cyclist and somewhat accident prone. will fit the stabilisers! :-)

Enjoy your weeks, looks like it's busy over there.

Soooooooooze.
