I do wish I could be there, but alas I'm not in Devon this week. Please give him my regards and I hope you all have a lovely evening. I'm sure you will.

Thanks, Tom. We're really looking forward to hearing him, as recordings are never the same as the real thing, which we have yet to experience. Should be a really good night.

Do let us know if you're going to be down our way any time soon - there's always a bed for you here.

He (and the band) were in fine form at Ingleton on Saturday. A four hour session, some Dunc solo, some as acoustic band, most the full on rocking electric band.

You'll have a great time.

Anyone else down that way who can't get to Combe Martin, look on his Myspace or website (www.duncanmcfarlane.co.uk) as he's got a few other gigs down that way this week.

dunc is bigger in real life than on a cd, which is flat. tho he never is.

love to the Shams

Well, a CD would be flat, wouldn't it? It wouldn't fit in the player otherwise! OK, you don't have to laugh...

I don't mind you promoting the other gigs as well, Deirdre - we are a bit out on a limb here. But well worth travelling to.

Ooo Tom (my mate, the Bliss, presumably?) - surely you don't mean the CD performance is flat?!!

(He said, just to make it conversational - with the express purpose of getting BBs ad for the Sham back to the top!
- So much better than the word 'refresh' we hope!
By the by - Don't fret about m' pal Deirdre, BB - she knows me well - and knows I wasn't at all 'serious' with my 'dig'!)

Personally I'm more worried about Tom "keeping it up"!

Barbara, I'm just miffed that I'll not be there. :-)

Lovely evening - he was only there as what we call a 'visiting performer', not a full guest night, and he's been offered a full concert booking for the future. Satisfaction all round!

Thanks for all your support - pity it didn't translate into greater numbers on the night :-( Everyone else's loss though...

Just back and rested a while!

Devon was grand!
The weather, hot and sunny - like all the missed-summer
forced itself into the one week.
Sunburnt on Dartmoor, T-shirt-order walks in Plymouth (Harbour n Hoe)
- same on cliff tops and beaches of N Devon - sweltered!
Promotional appearances all fruitful!
Grand company at each successive place...
Thanks Tom & Barbara for your hospitality and company.
Got a bit worried arriving in your venue by the shiney pole (for obvious dancing, the use of!) - I didn't use it!
Neither did anyone else - phew!
Great club you have there (despite a lower attendance, this week, than normal) twas still a vibrant singing club - and friendly...
just like all the Devon venues I was lucky enough to play at this past week.
Bideford - full of grand singers/singing/smiling....
Folk on the Moor... once again, fab club and folk!
They sure took to m'choruses at Lee Mill!
Big thanks to Ben & Graham and the regulars there!
Thanks to all that put me up, put up with me!!!

Sold CDs, got firm club (proper) bookings - and at least one fest!
Stayed at some great places with some fab folk - met loads of good folks - and heard some crackin' singing n playing down there.
Gotta go back soon!
Even finally managed a DRAW at drafts with Nic!!! - after tons of thrashings from him at doms/chess/any games!!! - over the past few years!
Success, then!!!
Cheers, Dunc

Well, there you are then, Duncan - you should obviously do the sensible thing and move down here.

I have to congratulate you on your draw - Tom will be impressed!

Look forward to seeing, and hearing you again soon.
