I know he was an English teacher at the University of Louisville for a while. I was just wondering what his connection to the Hindman School was. I guess that started around 1900 and Josiah Combs began his collecting career then. Kittredge was involved. Then there were other Kentucky collectors including Niles who I assume were later. Richie |

Dunson and Raim, 1973, Anthology of American Folk Music The Berea Collection contains "correspondence, song texts, and folklore narrative material collected from students by folklore scholar E. C. Perrow, while he was teaching at the University of Louisville diring the early teens of the 1900s.
