I have to assume it was from his childhood in the early 1900's. The lyrics I remember are: ************************************ Howdy, old timer. It's good to see you, Say, how be you? I am having trouble getting the Lester Levy Collection at Johns Hopkins to load in, but I think it would be a good spot to try to find your song. I have found many there for my dad who is in his 80's. If you go back out to the Forum/Thread page and look at the top/middle, where it says a bunch of things, such as "view your personal page", etc., you will see "Links"; click on that, scroll down to Lester Levy Collection and foolwo it to their search function. If it is on there and was published before 1924, you should be able to view and print the original sheet music. Good luck and I will keep trying, also. katlaughing |
