This songs with June Tabor are just unearthly in their brilliance.

Richard you are magnificent. Wish there was some way I could keep this.

Just have to watch and watch and watch while it lasts.

Woot!

Yes there is VT. When you go to the site, there is a button that says "download". Use that one!

Agree about June Tabor. I prefer their duets to just Maddy alone. Am I wrong or is June a bit ...... different?

I requested the Silly Sisters cd for christmas.

At Mudcat we are nothing if not chivalrous.

May nobody post any links to videos of Maddy's earlier work and make odorous comparisons...

You mean like this one where Peter Knight makes his violin sound exactly like an "odorous" mandolin?

Yes, I remember cringing at that the first time I saw it. Miming's awful even when it's done well.

I hope they didn't get their Crackerjack pencils after all that!

shudder... Thanks so much for that Diane.

That video looks like fodder for nightmare. See thread on folk dream. Perhaps we should start a new thread?

I gather Crackerjack is a kids show from the 60s, 70s, 80s? Would something like that contribute to a declining interest in folk music?

BTW anyone noticed the comentary on that video? Wonder how old the contributors are?

Ah - you then need a WMV converter. I have seen favourable comment on "fairuse4wmv" and another called "WM(something)"

I haven't tried them yet.
