(The Home Service was what Radio 4 was called in those days) I recall Fresh gruts fried in butter well. There were a couple of brothers who did sketches on there too, Roddy & Paul McDowell- they seemed to do alright afterwards! I will still occasionally ask people to "Get the stuff. Take the Car. Drive down to Maidenhead. Hand the stuff over to You-know-who." Does it ring any bells for anyone else? Is there anyone in the world who would know what I'm talking about? Cheers Dave |
