This is my second time on the site and I have noticed a lot of regulars and I am just curious as to what parts of the world everyone is from? I am from Stone Mountain Ga. USA. A suburb of Atlanta. Also this is one of the friendliest sites I have participate in. Any volunteers?

I'll premise this by saying I'm still buzzing from downing (quite quickly) 2 delicious Rob Roys of a Friday evening, so be forewarned, I am a little off the wall and not myself...

I am from planet earth...but have been seen in Central New York--primarily the "Salt City"...have also ventured to southern points in the state as well...ie Binghamton (known to some as 5th-Hampton)...and Westchester County...most recently I've been experiencing The Bay area of California and now The San Fernando Valley region...that is when I am not mentally drifting to other places in the world...such as the UK and Ireland.

And I think you all can tell neither my day nor evening job is comedienne.

Dusterjim, are you really from Falls City, Oregon? I spent a couple of years there, 110 Main Street. (Falls City is a literal end-of-the-road town with about 350 people if you count the suburbs.) I rented a much too big house from a friend; wonderful place. I could fish the Little Luckiamute from the patio outside my bedroom.

Yeah, so now we know where some folks are from, but I'm still curious about the overall numbers for where members are located. For example: Are there more members east or west of the Atlantic? (Austrialians might not fit into either category -- maybe "Old World" vs "New" would work better.)

I know there are plenty of members throughout the US and Canada, and enough in the UK that it would make sense to maintain separate counts for England, Scotland and Wales. Loads of Irish, but perhaps not so many living in Ireland than wishing they did, or at any rate visiting. At least one in Iceland, a few other Scandinavians. What else?

Even if some volunteer wre willing to sort through the data, does information even exist on the home locale of each member? As I recall, membership reistration req

I thought I must've posted to this one ages ago, but see not. Anywho, welcome to you all. It's fun to see where newer members hail from, esp. the more unusual...Hallo, Italia!! **bg**

PoppaGator, if you go to Quick Links, drop down the menu, then choose Member Photo and Info, you will find a Geographical listing of members by country and, in some cases, state or county/region called LOCATOR. We decided a long time ago not to get town specific in the list, as some wanted to keep it more private. By all means, please, any of you, send Jeff aka Pene Azul, your location to be added to the listing.

I was born in North Dakota, grew up in Wyoming and Colorado. Lived in New England and loved it, then back to the Rocky Mountains, currently Colorado. BUT, my heart's in the Highlands!! Or, at least Nova Scotia!

From somewhere over 2000 years ago. But more recent some 20 miles south of the mouth of the Mississippi river. Located in a Park call Itasca. In a small tourist town called Park Rapids. In a hole in the wall apartment in the low rent district. Perfect. Except no trees and grass to look at and no birdfeeders to fill or the multitudes of differant species of birds that one can attract depending on the type of foods used, all while comptemplateing phylosophy and logic. Be free and happy and make sure the world is good to you for we are of freewill and happy is what i choose for nothing else is an option. We are only limited to the boundries of our imagination.   Kindaloupehackenweez....PEACE...

Born London,England, there till '74, mostly Norwich, Norfolk since.
One set of grandparents from Odessa,Ukraine(before then in the Austro-Hungarian Empire - so 200 years ago the family name was Mozart, but it then drifted). Another grandparent from Lithuania, and 4th from Yorkshire. Been around a little, now rather hermit-like (with books,LPs, and older daughter).

We're all migrants, cos that's what our primitive ancestors did for thousands of years.

A reborn thread, eh. My story isn;t very interesting.

In a woods south of Chicago - looks like a MS sharecroppers house only a little wider. Some of the time near Fort Meyers but I sublet the joint for a couple months (my error) and I am freezing my buns off here. It easn't nearly this cold last December.

I'm not sure where my home is these days.

We own a vacant and temporarily uninhabitable home in one New Orleans neighborhood, recently began renting a small apartment in another higher-and-drier section New Orleans, and have not yet moved out of my childhood home in New Jersey. (At the moment, I'm in NJ and my wife is in NO.)

It's very confusing. I'll wonder about a particular item (piece of clothing, book, scribbled note, etc.), remember that I left it on a table "back home," and then realize that the home in question is 1400 miles away...
