I think he's going on about Jonathan Ross (recently returned to the BBC after a 3 month ban imposed for being offensive on air).

I get that, but what is this about an 80-year old woman etc?

The Observer summed it up fairly well.

Brand put his hands up to it, apologised and resigned. His career is still good (in that people still go to see him and find him funny. Personally I find him about as funny as a dose of the squitters)...

Ross didn't apologise, didn't resign, was cocky about his suspension and has committed a similar error of taste and judgement. Perhaps now the BBC will learn? Whatever, I suspect a lot of people have just had enough of him now.

I'd agree that he really ought to engage his brain before his mouth, but I can't find it acceptable how the media and others constantly use his speech impediment against him. When did it become OK to lampoon disabilities?

This (as with Mr J R to my opinion) belongs in 'BS'

he is crude and offensive, lacking class, too big for own good and not good for anything, over paid and has believed in his own fame, could go the way of Simon Dee and others, the programme controllers lack judgement and foresight while the low level of crudeness on show is a poor substitute for intelligent entertainment.

Its cheap promotion for those appearing to plug dross

bring back Michael Parkinson

Leave Parky alone, he's earned his rest more than any others. But surely it can't be beyond the wit of man to find decent heirs for him. There must be plenty of decent journos out there who'd leap at the chance, and for a fraction of Wosse's fee too.

Although Ross and Parky are about equal in the sickening sycophancy stakes when it comes to being interviewers, they both seem to me to be far better on the radio (like Wogan used to be before he became the mouthpiece for the Daily Mail readership). There's no doubt Ross seems to loose his inclination to attach himself remora-like to the buttocks of his guests on the radio, whilst Parky becomes almost bearable on his show.

Ross is excellent on his Saturday morning show and as always, anything that attracts the indignation of NoW and the other arsewipe tabloids must have some merit.

All that said, he's so overpaid it's ridiculous. Bring back the Hairy Cornflake!

Me, I got an absolute loathing for tabloid 'moral outrage' mongers
and a lifelong love of healthy dark sick humour..

I say Ross just aint as funny as he used to be.

He's become too lazy and predictable.

But he can still be very amusing with the 'right' guests.
