They are the extremely talented Brian & Marion Rodgers, who add another dimension to what I do (well to me they do). Brian plays 6 and 12 string guitars like an angel, also mandolin, mandola, whistles and the talented b*gger also sings to die for, and Marion plays bodhran and sings the harmonies, once again wih the voice of an angel. She also plays guitar, but I've not yet seen her play in front of an audience. We've done quite a few gigs together in the past and decided we like it so much that we're going to do a lot more in the future - if the gigs come in of course. I believe it's going to be a great night on the 10th. March and am looking forward to it immensely. John Barden |

The Gordon Hotel is not a lot better but might be tolerable. Barden has a secret hideaway somewhere behind Rochester Cathedral that he may let you in on, and I think TV knows of one too. Or if Fiddlebird has a spare bit of floor she might oblige. THere is one opposite Strood Station, I think I't called t Great Eastern. There is also one a bit further down Rochester High Street that BOba dn Kath Drage used to use - but I forget its name. |

I know someone who stayed there for some time and, to the best of my knowledge, it's not that bad. You also get a nice greasy spoon breakfast there, and I think it's fairly cheap. And it is, of course, bloody handy for the station, and not much more than five minutes' walk from The Good Intent. |

Starting with Dean, who put on a nicely composed set of material which admirably showcased his obvious vocal and musical talent. Great start to the evening, and just right as a lead in to what followed. Now Brian and Marion Rodgers (No Worries) are a class act, and the Barden, well with that voice and a head bursting with great songs itching to get out, need I say more? Last night something happened which, for me, was magical. I was blown away by the best merger since somebody said "I wonder what those strawberries would taste like if I poured this cream over them".
