The tribal areas of Afghanistan that reach over the border into Pakistan is is actually called Pashtoonistan by experts.

The area is controlled by tribal chiefs and overall by the Taliban.

They have, as you know, taken over a Pakistani resort area called Swat.

Pashtoonistan has hopes of gaining control of Pakistan and the Islamic bomb.

Right or wrong, this is what the Obama Afghan war will be about.

No one has defeated this area.
The British failed, Rome failed, Alexander the Great failed.

sorry I have no cartoon about Pashtoonistan.

The Onion does have a cartoon about Ethniclashistan.

Why are we and Russia willing to war against the Taliban/Pashtoonistan????

Russia has spent billions to get Iran to make atomic weapons.

What is in those mountains that we need. Kryptonite? Fictionite?

There is a movie that offers a wierd explanation.

Its called 'The Objective'

it is supreamly creepy.

I guess we are all OK with putting 17,000 more troops in there immediately and pushing Pakistan into an untenable situation.

This is where I belive our next nuclear war will erupt.

Fear mongering always finds terrifying possibilities to fuel the grim imaginations of the downward-minded.

You use the phrase "our next nuclear war" as though there have been a series of them, while in fact there has never been a contest between nuclear-armed nations int he history of the world. One side only held the nuclear edge in WW2. What are you actually foreseeing, therefore? And why do you refer to the nuclear weapon capability of Pakistan as Islamic? Doesn't that tend to concatenate national, religious and civil issues with terrorism? Why conflate thigns that may not be conflatable?
