Quinn's again

In just a few short hours it will be time for another meeting at Quinn's Lighthouse; I will be there, Sonja will be there (my son might be there); Fadac, Dave, PJ, Mike, Joe, Sean, others?

Sonja will be able to report on the weekend performance of the Once-Born Gospel Singers, aka the Point Isabel Poodle Players, Charlie Bond and the Bail Jumpers, and for this performance (it was at her house) Nancy Crowe and the Ravens. She was there for only the second set, but that's when I did my two vocal and banjo leads: "Jimmy Brown the Newsboy" and Dylan's "You Ain't Goin' Nowhere."

Does this happen every Thursday, Seed? I'm tempted to go, but I guess I'd better work. I'm allowed a holiday on July 4th only if I'm caught up with my work, and that's not likely. Oh, well, only 3 months until retirement.

I've been there four out of the last five weekends, Joe--and so has Fadac, I think (we missed different weeks). Dave has made three of five, at least--but he may be on duty. PJ has been there the last two times. Sonja has been there twice, maybe three times.

Oh, and there's also the Starry Plough on Sunday nights.

And, of course, I can make it up your way sometimes, too: when do you have good song sessions/jams?

Don't know if I'll make it this Thursday or not. We have a big day planned for Friday. A friend of mine has a speed boat, so we are going to watch the Tall Ship parade. I plan on shooting some video, and perhaps a few stills too.

All depends on how much I get done tonight.

Bseed, please forward that paper on to Sonia. It has some very basic concertina chords and stuff.

luckily, most readers of this skipped right over my mistake (I was thinking it was Wednesday yesterday: I even went to my doctor's appointment a day early). --seed

Hey, everyone, it looks like neither Sonja nor I will make it to Quinn's tonight after all. Sonja got four tickets for a Brecht play at Zellerbach tonight and asked me to accompany her and her parents, so the anticipated first meeting of Sonja and my son John is delayed again. Maybe next week, but she probably has waterpolo then, so I don't know. I'll keep you informed. --seed
