Well, I think their fiat to be a little lower...that seems pretty pricey to me.

Fiat makes some interesting cars, the Alfa Romeo and the Lancia.
Fiat hasn't marketed in N. Am. for some time. It holds ownership in Maserti and Ferrari, but these are made in separate facilities and Ferrari is run independently.

Crash safety tests probably will cause the small Fiat-based models to put on weight.
The Fiat 500 Nuovo is a city car that almost fits 3 small adults and one midget inside its shell. Its main competition would be golf carts.

In any case, there will be a three-year development period before any Fiat-Chrysler models can hit the road.

Now if they just produce a cheaper Ferrari---

FIAT merged with Alis-Chalmers to market heavy equipment in America the last time Reaganomics struck.

Oh my... I havent't seen this one before... It's not "classic" Little Feat, but it's a bit more in line with the Café's genres.

Buy a new Fiat, with your fiat money. Low down payments, and by the time its paid for, the balance you can pay for on your second payment!

I know they can combine Fiat with their old muscle cars and we can have a 2 seat'er that goes 200 miles and hour and 2 gallons per mile ..

Now that will be a big seller for sure I just know it

Ferrari, a Fiat- owned company, has six models currently, the F430 Spider the most popular, featuring 490hp, a 4.3L engine capable of 310km/mile (193 mph) and 0-62 mph in 4.2 seconds. Not the fastest, but a sporty little devil.

It does a little better than "2 gallons per mile." A good seller, with a waiting list for those wishing to buy. Dealers across the U. S. and HI. Four dealers in Canada, including the centre (note spelling) of the universe, Calgary.

Who would have thought that Tom Paxton's song "I'm Changing my Name to Chrysler" would once again be current---

Perhaps the company should change its name after the merger---how about FIASCO---"we get bailed out more times than a sinking boat".

I've yet to hear anyone in the media zero in on the real reason behind Chrysler's difficulties: every model in their current lineup is uglier than homemade shit.

People will drive an ugly car if it's highly dependable. People will drive a less than 100% dependable car if it has a lot of pizzazz. But when you combine ugly and low dependability, you've got something nobody wants. You've also got Chrysler in a nutshell.

Well, I do still like the looks of the PT Cruiser, and I can see the appeal of the 300 although I'm not that crazy about it myself. But those are more nich/novelty items. A few years ago they were putting out some decent looking, though not otherwise outstanding, "bread and butter" cars. I've been dumbfounded by the styling of everything they've introduced lately.

They completely destroyed the Jeep line, as well- its nothing now but overpriced, over-sized crap.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of the best SUV's for general use. One I have now is a 1995, and good for another 10-20 years. They are reasonable in price, comparable with Toyota, Honda, Hyundai equivalent models and much cheaper than Lexus (perhaps the best of the class- esp. the sl. larger 400 series, when fit with heavy suspension).
I also had a 1985 Jeep Cherokee, which I sold last year, still serviceable.
Not quite as roomy as the Porche Cayenne but a hell of a lot cheaper (BMW, Mercedes SUV's also too expensive for me).
The Jeeps are superior to the poorly engineered but more expensive Land Rover Discovery (some of the heavy duty Rovers are good, but seldom seen).

(Posting from Alberta, where distances are large, and where many people like to travel off the beaten track, carrying kids and animals and baggage).

The pcik up truck I featured is actually a Fiat Sedan that I altered to look like a pick up. If you google Small Fiat Car there are lots of images of 7 foot people trying to drive them.
