06 Jun 09 - 06:12 AM (#2649771) Subject: RE: Sheb Wooley From: Tug the Cox Shep Wooley is an English singer. His real surname is Wooley, and as a teenager gained the nickname 'Sheb' from the American Country singer. When he joined the navy, his shipmates, perhaps not so well up in music, changed this to 'Shep' with the obvious sheep/wool connection. Shep Wooley he still is today, and a very entertaining singer and writer of sea songs. |

He is a comedian/after dinner speaker/presenter of a radio program/folk singer. When he appeared at Faldingworth Live last Christmas, he did his show "Rock and Roll (Elvis to Revolver) Accoustic. It was an hilarious show and he did some excellent songs. So much so, I was asked by my audience to get him back. So I have. He should not be confused with Sheb Wooley http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9H_cI_WCnE |
