Not that I am biased, well of course I am, but I think Fylde is the best [well one of the best] festivals in England. For a start you are not in tent! Theres plenty to do, concerts, sing/play arounds, sessions, dancing, Morris, Rapper, workshops and good real ale, what more can anyone want? Come along, & find out what you've been missing. |

02 Sep 09 - 05:35 AM (#2714388) Subject: RE: Any 'Catters' going to Fylde? From: Sailor Ron Fylde got off to a gradley start on Mon. aboard the 'Jacinta'. The fish hold was all but full [no, not with cod!]. Spitting on a roast got the evening going with a good mixture of 'nautical' songs ,Ross Campbell of Red Duster proved once again thathe is a master craftsman on the anglo, Scolds Bridle proved once again why they are regarded as one of the finest female duos around. The Alan Bell Band sang a collection of Alan's'greatest hits', which inevitably included'Bread & Fishes'. Hughie Jones was the 'guest' artist, and like good wine he just gets better with age. Today its folk in the lounge at the Steamer. |
