Mum got a new car. Serius came with it. I like it, until it costs money, of course.

Anyone have it? Like it? Pay fer it? Gonna keep payin fer it?

Link no go for me. (fixed-JRO)

I listened to it today.... comedy stuff... they kept saying their station was available on Serius 103 and XM whatever... so I guess no merger. I think it was 103... Foxworthy? redneck radio.... it was hilarious.

If I was driving a lot, I would consider buying it for the comedy stations.

I was in the back woods country when Larry The Cable Guy said he hit a deer... at the zoo... thought it was a drive thru...

My satellite TV gets a number of XM radio stations. The one called "The Village" has a decent folk mix.

Yes, I do believe Sirius and XM merged - on July 29, 2008, to be exact. I had one or the other of these services on the radio of a rental car a while back, and I was impressed with the variety folk music available on the service.

Slight thread drift but it looks like the big guys in UK radio are wakening up and smelling the coffee.

I have XM in my car (came with it), and I have a Sirius portable that can go from car to house. I bought that when I was flying or driving all over the States all the time. I love knowing that I am not going to fall prey to fading signals, or being at the mercy of local programming when I am in the middle of nowhere. There is a huge variety of choices, virtually every kind of music, talk, sports event, it's all there. The cost is very reasonable. I pay the XM annually. I purchased a lifetime contract on the Sirius.

I am very pleased with it and find it well worth the cost.

All the best,

Mick
