25 Jul 99 - 05:05 PM (#99095) Subject: RE: Sheet Music request!! From: Anders Svensson Thanks Kat for a very very goood URL!! I found a lot of good sheetmusic there, but not any of those I searched for. SueH I would be very glad if you could email me Bmp images of those tunes. I have a lot of abc tunes myself, but I don´t know how to make gifs, etc of them. (I´m using ABCMUS)

25 Jul 99 - 08:14 PM (#99134) Subject: RE: Sheet Music request!! From: John in Brisbane Anders, if you have ABC's for the tunes, you can produce sheet music in just a couple of minutes by using the free Digital Tradition Folksong Player (a variant of Music Ease). This allows you to import ABC files directly.
I will have to rely upon some other Mudcatter to post the URL. The only downsides are that it requires Win95/98 and the un-registered version prints a watermark in the background. ABCMUS is a MUCH better vehicle for playing ABC's by the way.
Once you have the DT Player loaded all you have to do is to File Open, Tools Cast Off, File Print.
If you REALLY want to produce GIF's then get back to me via this thread or at johninbrisbane@hotbot.com

25 Jul 99 - 11:10 PM (#99169) Subject: RE: Sheet Music request!! From: Anders Svensson Thanks for your advice John. Yes I´m really need to make som gifs to my homepage. Please tell me more of this D.T Folksong player and where to find it. I agree with you about ABCMUS. I think it is a superb prog to listen to the midifiles. I have used ABCMUS so much when I struggle with tunes to play so I´m better att playing from raw abc text format than the sheetmusic.. Thanks John Anders |
26 Jul 99 - 12:18 AM (#99188) Subject: RE: Sheet Music request!! From: John in Brisbane With ABCMUS you can save a MIDI file from your ABC tune file. A number of people at Mudcat use NoteWorthy Composer, which is shareware available at http://www.ntworthy.com/composer/download.htm. It allows you to input a MIDI file save a copy of the score in standard notation as an image file (I can't recall whether the un-registered version allows this).
The DT player is available from http://www.musiceease.com/download.html.
Please email me for any further details.
