03 Feb 10 - 10:39 AM (#2828821) Subject: RE: KFFC Winter Warmer!! Feb 19th-21st 2010 (UK) From: Banjiman Just added to the programme: Ukethrash! Surely there can be no better way to start the Sunday? Starting with a brief beginner's session (covering the basics like which end to stick under your chin) and then hit the ground running with a couple of simple songs. The idea is that we all play the same song at approximately the same time and clear the airways playing "modern folk classics" by the like of Dylan, Credence Clearwater, Amy Winehouse, The Monkees, Johnny Cash, The Everly Brothers… Bring your ukes: we'll supply the song sheets. Your host is Hamish who won't be asking anything demanding of you, cos he doesn't know much himself. |

08 Feb 10 - 10:07 AM (#2832846) Subject: RE: KFFC Winter Warmer!! Feb 19th-21st 2010 (UK) From: Hamish I think I should copyright the word "Ukethrash" I did a Google on it and two of the top five hits are for KFFC - and the others aren't written as one word. I've been putting the Ukethrashsetlist together and, to complement the KFFC's "Finger-pickin' Good" strap line, the Ukethrash will be toe-tappingly triff. |

Thank goodness for the Winter Warmer. :-) Deirdre |
