From: Ed T Animal shelter open house another success December 29, 2009 by News Hound It began last year as an idea to let the community celebrate Christmas by visiting the dogs and cats at the Animal Shelter of Pell City. And that successful open house drawing 250 people led to another one this year, drawing about 100 who braved a cold, wet day to get involved. The open house attracted kids who had their pictures made with Santa and the dogs, and it served as a time for taking donations of dog and cat food, cat litter and cleaning supplies. It was the community's chance to say "thank you" |

Police said the car driven by a 32-year-old Vorarlberg man veered off the motorway near Radfeld, flipped over a number of times and came to rest on its wheels on the parallel gravel-covered secondary road. The man and his 21-year-old wife were both hurt in the accident, and the car was a write off in the crash at 4:20am. But both children, whose ages police have not given out, were completely unhurt. |

Police said the Hungarian had been driving on the Ramsauer highway from Filzmoos, Salzburg, in the direction of Ramsau in Styria's Liezen district when he collided head-on with a car driven by a Styrian from Liezen district. He was unhurt and ran from his car to drag the other driver out of his car as flames began to wrap around it. It is believed that the 20-year-old socialite was travelling to Disneyland in California with four friends yesterday when the driver's foot slipped on the pedal, causing the vehicle to spin out of control. Geldof, who calls her friends the "I Don't Give A F**k crew", went on to recall her horror on Twitter, telling fans that she had been left unhurt after the incident. She said: "Just actually experienced a full-on car crash with the IDGAF crew. Wow, I guess we really don't GAF (sic)." The star continued: "Honestly can't believe were alive after that. And that the front of the car is totally f**king up and yet were still carrying on to Disney?!"
