Faldingworth Live Sat Jan 9 Cancelled

Unfortunately, with the weather the way it is and the forecast not very good up to and including the weekend, we have decided to postpone the concert until May 1st 2010.

We look forward to seeing folks on Feb 13th when we have Jez Lowe and The Bad Pennies on. Reservation of tickets is advised as this concert should be a sellout. We already have 65 tickets reserved.

Well done Les. It sounds as though things are going to get worse. I should have been going to a meeting tomorrow morning and one on Friday morning (both in Gainsborough) and these too have been cancelled. I'm going to hibernate.

Not a bad idea at all :-)

That's a shame mate ,but is the most sensible thing and better for the safety of the patrons.
Not something every venue could be accused of .

Everybody who had reserved tickets or intimated that they were coming have been notified and were very understanding and supported the decision.

Mary Humphreys & Anahata & Emily & Rebecca (Ember) were very understanding. Thank you for that.

Unfortunately Ember were unable to rebook as they are disbanding at the end of February which is a great shame, but as Rebecca pointed out "We have been together for 10 years". I wish them success in whatever new paths they tread.

That's a shame, Les.
But it's the right decision to cancel.
Now I won't get to hear Ember! :-(

The main school in Market Rasen is shut. Buses can't get in.

My daughter is happy.

Good decision, Les. I'm about to cancel a meeting for Monday night. There's a humpbacked bridge into our village and when that is unuseable - like now - our village is cut off for cars.

I reckon Lady Nelson had the right idea. When she experienced her first British Winter she took herself off to bed and stayed there until Spring.   Hmmmm - that lovely king size bed with extra thick duvet calls ....

Blessings
Rhiannon

Unfortunately Ember are unable to fir May 1st in as they are going their own ways, which is such a shame. I wish them both well.

So Saturday May 1st will still be a double bill.

It will now be

Harvey Andrews and Mary Humphreys & Anahata Tickets £8

The city's big enough for both of us! It's great we're both doing well.
See you in May. (At Wembley would be a dream!)LOL

Harvey, do you think we could sell enough tickets at Wembley to see you and Mary & Anahata then? Split the profit with you :-)

Yes they are both doing very well. Keeps the Villa on its toes.

A dream "Aston Villa versus Birmingham City in the FA Cup" - it would be brilliant. :-)

Look forward to seeing you on May 1st.

Sounds great. I saw Sir Harvey Andrews for the first time at Grimsby Folk Club and bought a cd on the strength of it. Brilliant, varied and very accessible songs! :-)
Wembley? I am not sure if there would be room...

Hmmm.... well, if anyone's got the imagination (is that the right word?) to put us on at Wembley, it got to be our Les!!!

Well maybe if Villa play Blues in the FA Cup, I could let Harvey, Mary & Anahata do the national anthem before the start of the match :-)

Mary says if you do that she'll sing the Welsh national anthem.
(of course, that might be an alternative if one of the teams is Welsh...)
Anahata

I thought Mary might say that. However they are both from Birmingham.

The respective mangers are from Northern Ireland and Scotland.

So maybe you could sing all 4 anthems :-)
