I still sing it, and I think Arthur Wakefield, who runs the club in Bollington at the Dog and Partridge also does. Another of Tom's songs was "Central Station, Sunday morning". I seem to recollect he moved to London, and someone told me a few years ago that he later moved to Amsterdam where he has since died. |

I don't know that anyone's sung it there since he died. |

My friend Cathy gave me a recording of this song on CD to me to learn as one of my first folk songs to sing at folk club in Charlwood, Surrey. I have know idea where she learnt it. |

His version of No Woman No Cry, (the Bob Marley classic)suitably adapted to the streets of Salford was sublime. He wrote a number of very fine songs and this song has long been one of my favourites and one which invariably goes down well with audiences. Raggy |
