In some deed oh it's tight like that

Guitar break

Oh it's tight like that ooooh, tight like that ooooh

I caught two in my corn-field
It's tight like that ooooh, tight like that ooooh
In some deed oh it's tight like that

????????????
Gone to cornfield just like rats
It's tight like that ooooh, tight like that ooooh
In some deed oh tight like that

Some folks said that a chicken won't steal
I caught two on my chicken-roost field
It's tight like that ooooh, tight like that ooooh
In some deed oh it's tight like that

????????
????????
It's tight like that ooooh, tight like that ooooh
In some deed oh it's tight like that

Preacher and rooster had a terrible fight,
Preacher knocked the Rooster clean out of sight
It's tight like that ooooh, tight like that ooooh
In some deed oh it's tight like that

Chicken told the rooster, "That will be all right.
Meet you at the hen house 'morrow night
It's tight like that ooooh, be tight like that ooooh
In some deed oh it's tight like that

Yeah!
Guitar break

Oh it's tight like that ooooh, tight like that ooooh

"in some deed" should surely be "yes indeed"?

I couldn't think of any words that sounded like they made sense to me in the places I left ???

If I was singing it, I'd just fill in the blanks..probably 'basket' to go with the sack and 'stepped in the chickenhouse' for the rooster

Hi

Please find close to certain lines of this song where you can catch them.
One thing is sure Huddie is very hard to understand
Another thing I'm not sure that "In some deed or Yes indeed" matches with the song
Maybe one of you can answer the question
Good reading folks

Steve Lohmeyer,

I don't think my recordings are any clearer, and I know my ears aren't any more sensitive, but I clearly hear, "Diddle dum dee, It's tight like that."

Tried another shot at it and I heard the following. Let me know if you folks agree. There's still one line about the preacher and rooster that's unclear. I proposed "{Who through the 'hind}, and didn't have a stew?", but I'm not sure. All else, I think works...

A few things:

Who threw... - not sure about the start of the line but I think it ends didn't have to stoop. (The start sounds like Who threw that hard).

One had a match...: One had a badge, another had a sack, Going down the cornfield just like rats

Cold frog, I'm pretty sure should be Bullfrog
