I should know better than to post to theads when I am having a bad day. My apologies if I went off on anyone. Everyone is entitled to their opinion if I like it or not.

It's better to be crabby late than on time. You, crabby? Yeah, right....

I'm plumbing the mysteries of my small mixer I'm using to convert cassettes to CD. Electronics make me crabby, late and on time.

:-)

Take care, buddy

I didn't notice you in the Crab Corner where I've been residing lately. Wish I had- we could commiserate.

I'm trying to true up the alignment on a fifteen-year-old 10" radial saw. So fuck off with your lame apologies!! If that sort of misconduct calls for your deepest apologies I'd hate to see you do anything seriously bad...you'd be in a corner before you opened your mouth!!

But I d appreciate the spirit of contrition even though I don't even know which posts you're apologizing for!!

Never saw any evidence, m'self, Dan. Take off that hairshirt, put away the whips and chains...ten lashes with a wet noodle will do, even though I don't think that is warranted, either!:-)

Dan, you can always vent to me in PMs anytime the crabs come back. :~) Just be sure to label it a venting or rant, or you're likely to get some cheery bullshit in reply.

Dan, when you do crabby, it sounds like Mister Rogers. I've never seen you anything but nice.

Kind of like this, Dan?

Years ago - many years ago- a customer came down to the motel office I was running and apologized for making a pass at me the night before when he was drinking.

I pretended to not know what he was talking about and said, No. You were fine. You didn't make a pass.

He said, somewhat crestfallen, Well, I know I meant to.

yeah, Oldster... I noticed that you werte off yer game a little... Ya' know that you ain't had that swagger... Maybe a woman???... Maybe late nights playin' yer geetar in dives accross town... I don't know... I'm just that fly on the wall... I mean, yer grammer has slipped... Yer humor has kinda gone British... Yer temper... Well, that temper... Oh, used to be...

But nevermind that, Oldster, 'cause here's what I want you to do...

I want you to go down to the package store and get you a pint of "Absolute" Vodker... Then unscrw the cap and empty the contents into yer tummy and then when you wake up tomorrow with a bigass headache you get down on yer knees and ask the Big Guy to make you the ol' Oldster that we know and, well...

...He either will or he won't but at least you will have given it yer best shot.... Right???

That's what I do, anyway, 'cept I use shine...

B~

Get yourself a nice big hammer. That way, you can not only fix your saw but you can bop olddude with it if he gets out of line again.

Dan
Stick to your principles and say what you want.
You do so much good helping people who do not have much money.
You are a very good bloke.
