Yesterday, one of the "all talk" radio stations AM640, had a call-in session where the public phoned in to express their opinions about the time and energy required to raise a child and also be the Mayor of Canada's largest city. One of the first callers,(whom I didn't necessarily disagree with)suggested that his wife could/should stay home and raise the new child(as opposed to daycare). All sounded quite nice and sincere until the caller was informed that Mr. Smitherman didn't have a wife, He has a husband! World Gay Pride Week in "the big smoke" this year. You should not be surprised that every time I have to go to that city, I wish I could wear a body sized prophylactic. |
