Bacup Easter Saturday

We're stopping off on the way to The lakes to watch the Nutters.

Are there any open music or song sessions on Friday night or Saturday that coincide?

We found a nice welcoming mixed session at The Flowers on the Todmorden road, on Friday and a great Irish music session at The Crown on Saturday

The Nutters were great. I noticed that it's less of a 'folky' focus than when I last went in the &0s and back to a local celebration .

Bacup has been through tough times economically y but is undergoing some funded regeneration so 'heritage'and tourism will be on the agenda I expect.. The next Hebden Bridge?

If the new Russian Tea Room is anything to go by, possibly. The tea and the cakes were both fab.

The Nutters performing in their own habitat were wonderful. Seem like a great bunch.

Saw the Russian Tea Room which looked very inviting. Will try next year.
