Moses and The Ref @ Maidenhead 13th May

Hi Friends.

Christine and I are really pleased to let you know that we will be the guests at Maidenhead Folk Club on Thursday 13th May.

We've loved singing there for the occasional floor spot in the past, so now we're really honoured that Tony and Pearl have asked us to appear there.

Of course Christine has a 'special' relationship with Maidenhead, having achieved first place in the Folk Song Competition in 2007, so I'm sure that we'll be performing both her entries (she also had a near miss in 2005!).

It'd be lovely to see as many of our friends as possible to help us along with the choruses, not that the Maidenhead regulars need much help in that area!

We can't wait, it's going to be one of the hightlights of our relatively short time singing together, so we're getting excited!

Steve.

OK MGAS, I'll consider my self smacked!

What I actually meant was not that Breezy is intriguing, but the thought of what he might have done to himself to prevent....

On second thoughts, when you're in a hole, stop digging!

Thanks chaps!

Christine and I had a great time and the sound coming back at us during the choruses was of course awesome!

And such quality from the floor, we had to be on top form to follow that!

Thanks again to Tony and Pearl (and t'committee) for inviting us.

Steve

Well played chaps, great to hear you again, some really interesting songs.

I particularly enjoyed the 'Wine' song, 'The Song about the guy who died' and the songs that Christine wrote

Nice to hear favourable feedback from the audience.

The room has good acoustics.

ta for lift

And to cap it off, Boston beat Cleveland ! to go through !

Well done

Thanks for all the lovely comments, folks.

We had a great time. Maidenhead is such a friendly, welcoming club it is always a pleasure to visit. And there are always lots of great singers who join in the choruses.

Hugs
