The kind that you can't find on the Evening News That's all remotely controlled, cold and abused. The way lies are justified, contrived and confused Dialling through those talks spots, coming off the radio The dialogue's distorted on sketchy, sponsored shows Stupidity is rampant, common sense is rare Those slanted, living words, all they ever do is foul the air We trade liberty for security Reality for a facade. That's sad You and me we give up authenticity Just to drink at The Mirage C'est dommage The damage is done in a ravaged summer rain It blots out the sun, time and time again We're running out of room to run, and out of things to lose Misery is Israel, Gaza's got the blues Punching solemn holes in the Holy Land Not much there is sacred, take it with a grain of sand Cowboys and Palestindians Bound together by their rage When something big gets blown up somewhere else Nowadays it's all just staged Some Suicidal Arabs, a few Genocidal Jews Damn the Fundamentalists, Conservative Christians too They're all homeless homing pigeons, feeding from a broken bowl The issue here is not religion, but resources and control We trade living free for fantasy Mobility for chains to drag We give up integrity for complicity The silken velour for oil soaked rags We swap liberty for security Reality for a sad facade You and me, we lose authenticity Whenever we drink at The Mirage C'est dommage |

Just don't tell 'em I got the titles of your CDs muddled up last night over on FB, else I'll never be able to live that one down. Stoopd brain cell! :0) I'm having my daily dose of 'Mirage' at the moment, as I type this, so I'm feeling all fired up and ready to take on the world once again...and having just read a FB message from a Gulf of Mexico page telling folks how BP have told local businesses in their area to close down, as it would be the best for everyone, your inspirational words mean even more. "..We trade living free for fantasy Mobility for chains to drag We give up integrity for complicity The silken velour for oil soaked rags We swap liberty for security Reality for a sad facade You and me, we lose authenticity Whenever we drink at The Mirage C'est dommage."
