08 Oct 10 - 10:27 AM (#3002477) Subject: Derbyshire song From: GUEST,Pete Castle I've had a phone call from a woman of 90 now living in Gloucestershire but she comes from Derbyshire. For her birthday he was given a copy of my book Derbyshire Folk Tales pub The History Press. Her father used to song a song which included the words "All round Derby and never through a street". She wondered whether I knew it. I don't and can't trace it anywhere. Anyone any ideas? www.petecastle.co.uk |

I do it only a few years over 40, so lord knows what it's like at 90! Thanks for mentioning your book. I live in north Derbyshire, and will look out for it. I was looking at the 'local' section in Buxton just last weekend, but didn't see it. |
