Derbyshire song

I've had a phone call from a woman of 90 now living in Gloucestershire but she comes from Derbyshire. For her birthday he was given a copy of my book Derbyshire Folk Tales pub The History Press. Her father used to song a song which included the words "All round Derby and never through a street". She wondered whether I knew it. I don't and can't trace it anywhere. Anyone any ideas?

I can't find anything either, and would respectfully suggest that she's confusing a couple of songs into one?

I do it only a few years over 40, so lord knows what it's like at 90!

Thanks for mentioning your book. I live in north Derbyshire, and will look out for it. I was looking at the 'local' section in Buxton just last weekend, but didn't see it.

They should have it! Amazon have, or better still get it from my web site!

PS to the above: I'm doing an event at Bakewell Old House Museum next Friday eve (15th) - The Bakewell Elephant and other Derbyshire folk tales. Come along if you can...
