17 Oct 10 - 02:59 PM (#3009303) Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Lion ate Albert From: Gurney Never heard it done as a song, always a recitation, billed as a 'Musical Monologue' because it was accompanied by a piano when performed by S.H. I do/did quite a few monologues, and have been accosted by a concerned little girl about this one. Make sure you know 'Albert Comes Back' before you do 'The Lion and Albert' in mixed company.;-) |

19 Oct 10 - 04:35 AM (#3010395) Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Lion ate Albert From: Dave Roberts And Bernard Wrigley and I wrote another follow-up called 'Albert, The Lion and The Drink' about Albert Ramsbottom's son, Albert Junior, following in his Dad's footsteps. There's a live version of it on one of Bernard's many CDs. If you ever hear someone called Monologue Joe performing this and claiming he wrote it, you can tell him from me he's a liar. |
