All are invited to The green Dragon, Hardraw, for a weekend of song and music, Friday 17 to Sunday 19 December.
Get your tinsel out and shake your baubles about.
For directions, camping and accomodation, see Green Dragon website.

I should imagine you can camp-might be chilly. There are bunk rooms available for a tenner a night, with kettle and shower/tiolet.Plenty room for camper vans on road, or some hard standing behind pub.I suggest you contact the Green Dragon direct to arrange whatever suits you.

Well, it looks good. Bunks for a tenner a night sound good. Better than camping at that time of year, call me a coward if you will... It's a long way from South Wales but won't be working on the Monday, I suppose.

What sort of stuff goes on? Singarounds? Sessions? What sort of repertoire?

Do they have a real green dragon? My Dad did! Really, he did. He told me all about it when I was about 5.

I thought he was making it all up but we went down to the basement and I stayed on the stairs while he went into a back room that had been for coal storage but was now just full of assorted "stuff." All of a sudden I heard a lot of thumping and banging and my Dad yelling at the dragon. It calmed down a bit and the door slowly opened with my Dad backing out. He called to me to get back up the steps and he quickly slammed and locked the door.

When he got up the steps and into the kitchen I saw he had a milk bottle in his hand and it was about 2/3 full of green dragon milk! He had actually milked that dragon just to show me and it was so amazing! I mean the milk was green!

I told my best friend Joe and he didn't believe me so Dad went down and Joe waited with me on the step. When Dad came out with the milk again, Joey took one quick look and flew out the side door at the landing. I guess he ran all the way home and up to his bedroom. Later, his Mom called my Mom and she made my Dad get rid of the dragon.

So how did you manage to heat the house after that? Dragons of what ever colour are needed to help keep an eye on the heating so baby dragons can be born.

I emailed the pub, no answer yet. Would it be better to phone, do you think?

The web site doesn't give any info about the event e.g. singarounds or concerts etc.

It is unlikely I will be going to Green Dragon, as the weather is too dodgy.
