As always, I invite Mudcatters to tune into Folk Roots/Folk Branches on CKUT on Thursday morning from 9-11:30 (EDT). In the Montreal area, we're at 90.3 FM. In the rest of the world, we're in RealAudio in real time with the feed available from the Folk Roots/Folk Branches web site.

My guest this week will be Mary McCaslin, a wonderful and very influential singer, songwriter and guitarist. Duringthe conversation with Mary, we'll hear five of her recordings, including a duet with the late Jim Ringer.

Lots of other great music on the show as well including a lot of new releases and reissues that we'll be hearing for the first time. One of those new releases is by a certain Mr. Fielding who is known to frequent this cafe.

Thanks Mike,
Jim and Mary memories are dear to our hearts(my wife and I ).Jim and Mary were my very first live in person contact with folks of the real folk music scene. They were very approachable and willing to share experiences and conversations with their fans.
Since Jim's passing, it seems Mary has re-discovered herself and really gives a nice show that allows us to see her God given talents as a superp musician and vocalist.
Mary did a festival in 92 where she was obviously awkward at the challege of doing solo work, but through her perserverence has overcome her challenge and is now out there doing great concerts and finding new and old friends Frank from Toledo (Oregon) is having her at his concert venue in Oct and even though it's 4 1/2 to 5 hours travel for me, We plan on going.
Even though we have a good number of her CDs, I'll try and listen in, thanks a bunch for the radio alert.

Anybody else notice Rick just sort of slipped out that new CD without telling anyone?
