15 Dec 10 - 07:52 PM (#3054394) Subject: Guitar Chords the 'Friends' way From: The Fooles Troupe Not actually being a guitar player, I found this TV episode which was on as 'wallpaper' ROFL standard - The 'teacher' was self taught, and knows nothing about 'Real Music Theory', so just made up their own system based on an interesting method of "If you want to learn to play Guitar, then don't touch one!" Which got me to wondering about self taught 'Folk Musicians".... "I don't know the real names for the chords, so I made up names such as" Bear Claw Turkey Leg Old Lady Dragon Iceberg "(G# - G#! You have been studying Real Names of chords!)" So can you recognize the chord positions from those names? And have you any other good names, or stories... |

Number 3 had 2 fingers poked out like the little 'walking man' game... The others were never shown, just mentioned, and the last of course was part of the joke of the student wanting to read 'real music books' and break away from the radical (based on ignorant self discovery!) teaching method... :-) |
