I think it was a popular song in the mid 1930's and that it was sung in parody form by members of the Abraham Lincoln Battalion who fought for the Republic against Franco.(It is not the Peggy Lee song of the same name.) Entrar en fila,salir al patio, y a la bandera después saludar. La sopa de ajo, el primer plato. Para el almuerzo nos suelen llamar con desagrado muy bien marcado. Soy prisionero,tiene que aguantar. But I now realise that my above link to Ed Balchowsky's singing of Manana did not work properly but you should find it Here at 8.24/9.21 in the video. Also the link to the Mudcatthread dealing with Peggy Lee's totally different Manana song is Here should anyone want to see that. |
