12 Feb 11 - 06:13 PM (#3094052) Subject: RE: Lyrics req: 'You can't change me now' (Dransfield) From: The Borchester Echo As far as I'm aware, this song has never been released commercially (in the UK) except as a track on the Free Reed retrospective Up To Now, a 2-CD double in 1997, though the brothers (and the band Dransfield) did play it extensively on stage. I understand that certain releases of The Fiddler's Dream (the band CD) included it but it's not on mine. The UTN recording comes from a John Peel session broadcast in 1976. Can't really help with the lyrics. Though I've listened to the many times, it's too rock'n'roll for me to make out. Better email Barry through his website. |

And Barry recorded it again in 1994 for his solo CD Be Your Own Man. I've just copied the lyrics from the liner note onto my Mainly Norfolk website, hopefully without typos: YOU CAN'T CHANGE ME NOW (as sung by Dransfield) Songwriter?? Today I feel like I've done it all, I've run my head against every wall. I hate to say it but I think its true: I've done all the growing that I'm gonna do.
