Sadly it is often with an underlying sense of guilt that they visit it in public! NO MORE !! From March 12th at the Seven Stars, Foots Cray High Street, Sidcup DA14 5HJ a new Open Mike and Guest session is being launched where all styles of music will be welcomed. The sessions, operating under the title Seven Stars Live will run on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month, alternating with the extremely popular and successful Crayside Live events run by Sue and Trevor, which do have their base in folk music. This means that you will be able to go to the Seven Stars any Saturday evening knowing that there will be live music. As with Crayside Live the aim is to attract high quality acts and from experience I know that Mudcat is full of them :-) Anyone who would like to book a slot at one of the new sessions can add their name to the priority list by sending an e-mail to "bookings [at] sevenstarslive [dot] co [dot] uk". I would also be delighted to hear from anyone who would be interested in a guest hotspot or having a slightly longer featured artist slot. No large open spaces, right in the heart of a historic pub with the locals helping make up the audience. No hushed silences just life going on around you as you sing as others have sung before you in the same building since the 16th century. |
