12 Mar 11 - 06:09 PM (#3112626) Subject: RE: The Tree of Life doesn't work From: Joe Offer Oh, I meant to do something about that this morning, but I was working on five computers at the same time and got distracted. It was religious Spam from an anonymous Guest, so it got deleted. We look at Guest messages from a page that lists only Guest messages, and we delete the anonymous, Spam, and contentious Guest messages from that page. That means we don't see the message in context, and that sometimes causes some oversights. In this case, there was only the one message in the tread, and that left an inoperable thread when the message was deleted. Sorry about the confusion. If you really want to see the Spam message, let me know and I'll send it to you. -Joe- |

Now upon the ground I lie, Gazing upwards to the sky; The Tree of Life, that mighty oak, Stands laughing at its little joke. Matthew |

15 Mar 11 - 01:33 AM (#3113938) Subject: RE: The Tree of Life doesn't work From: Joe Offer Well, gee, maybe the thread was pertinent. The first reading for Sunday March 13 in the Catholic Lectionary was the Adam-Eve-Serpent story. Our priest had fun with it - he said Adam was a "wuss" for putting all the blame on Eve. The Common Lectionary doesn't coincide with the Catholics this week, although it does a great deal of the time. Oh....different tree, same garden. They were eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Come to think of it, it really WAS a useless thread. -Joe- |
