S., in Gronk's words, "What you see depends upon how much therapy you need." Digression- Oliver North, a low-ranking officer (Lt. Col.), could not make the decisions but carried out orders; he took the heat for the actions of superiors and the State Department. All charges against him were vacated, and dismissed by the US Court of Appeals. A decorated combat marine, he was awarded the Bronze Star, the Silver Star, two Purple Hearts for wounds, and the Presidential Service Badge. Following re-instated full retirement, he has been an author, politician and TV commentator and host. |

Only 18 months ago ago it played a despicable role in the overthrow of the democratically elected government of President Zelaya in Honduras. Further back it had a hand in the overthrow of President Allende in Chile and supported just about every torturer and tinpot dictator on the continent. Its failure ,then ,in Cuba was welcome and I seem to remember that for every prisoner Castro subsequently released after the invasion a tractor had to be 'donated ' to the Cuban farmers. ifor |
