20 May 11 - 10:59 AM (#3157569) Subject: RE: Sandy Denny 1975 unseen footage From: Vin2 Brilliant! Her voice was the best. Saw Fairport last night in Bury and Simon gave a smashing rendition of 'Who Knows Where The Time Goes' with a nice tribute to Sandy. Well missed. |

21 Mar 18 - 01:27 PM (#3912298) Subject: RE: Sandy Denny 1975 unseen footage From: Gordon Jackson The song is White Dress, from the album Rising for the Moon. The song was written by Dave Swarbrick for Sandy. Over on YouTube there are a bunch of people saying it's not Fairport, it's Fotheringay. Well, it's Fairport: Sandy, Swarb (mandolin), Jerry Donahue (electric guitar), Trevor Lucas (acoustic guitar), Dave Pegg (bass), Bruce Rowland (drums). Some were also saying it's Richard Thompson on guitar and that Ralph McTell wrote it: no and no! |
