It's a way of digitising some of the mountains of memorabilia I've acquired over the years in the fRoots archive, so I've made a start here on fliers, posters, magazines etc from the '50s, '60s and early '70s (a lot donated by the late Eric Winter). 90 items in there so far. I remember a rioutous afternoon wandering around Soho with the Pigsty Hill Light Orchestra and other mad souls, prior to a Cousins gig, eating a Chinese meal and drinking coffee. You also have the Fairfield Hall concert poster for Gary Davis - was this before the one I saw (identical personnel) at the Free Trades Hall, Manchester? And - lo and behold - my old mate and sometime duettist Pete Conway at the Springfield (now the Open House) in Brighton. Haven't seen Pete in years - I believe he went off to South Africa to build roads. More please! |
