Anybody noticed that "Oak, Ash, and Thorn" and "Merlin's Isle of Gramarye", both on CD, are out in the UK on May 23rd? Talking Elephant Records, notes by Jon Boden.

Whoopee, off to find my debit card...

Damn - and the world is going to end on the 21st . . .

Well, there's always a winner in strange times. Zonker in "Doonesbury" has been given a Mercedes Benz by his born-again neighbour who won't need it after tomorrow. Pity my God-bothering neighbours drive his'n'hers Peugeots.

Not that Peter Bellamy's bothered - he's already over there in Paradise (sorry Pete).

I got "Oak, Ash & Thorn" from Talking Elephant a few days ago. It is wonderful to finally listen to this album in its full glory (up to now I only had a download from some blog in poor quality). But it's strange that they only list this album on their website but not the other two Argo albums they are going to release on May 23, "Merlin's Isle of Gramarye" and Cyril Tawney's "A Mayflower Garland".

You've brought back a very sad memory to me. Many years ago, Peter Bellamy sent 9 Cassettes, and a letter telling me what he was going to do - and why. Before I could contact him, he had done it, and was gone. Oh, how I miss him.

I hope this doesn't sound insensitive Don, but can you share with us "why"?

I just noticed that Peter Bellamy's "Won't You Go My Way?" will be reissued on CD by Talking Elephant tomorrow.

Many thanks for that heads up Blandiver (Astray) - Paypal made that all too easy. Really looking forward to the sound of that CD crashing/cracking through the letter box.
