This is hilarious. I came across them when looking up something about Wally Whyton.

Folk has given us some of the worst album covers ever, but the very worst just has to be THIS.

By gum - what a grand selection of covers. I'm stuck for choice.

You realize you're really into this stuff when you need reminding that "A Taste of Dick Black" is funny.

"My Pussy Belongs to Daddy" looks like the sort of album Ed Cray or John Mehlberg might have been involved in. Were they? (The cover is entirely appropriate for the track list).

To be fair - it looks like a lot of these records were made back in the 70's. And I'd hate to see how any of US looked or dressed back then.

If I'm ever tempted to feel nostalgic about the way things used to be - this is a certain cure.

Maddy Genets cover looks like a scene from a David Lynch film.

I suppose it's just me, but most of those I find more sad than funny.

Bob Dylan, first Columbia album, with the woman's jacket and left-handed guitar.

The Blind Faith album. 'All Around My Hat' by Steeleye Span. 'Gottle O'Geer' by Fairport. Almost anything by Roger Dean. I recall 'Fear of Music' by Talking Heads as well. Just black. How much more black could it be? The answer is none. More black.

How did Jim Post make that page? The shower cover is downright attractive compared to the others.

Claire (a big Jim Post fan)

Probably doesn't need saying, but more often than not the covers were chosen by the record companies, not the recording artist.

I've seen some dreadful covers that were self-designed. So the record companies aren't always at fault. In the commerical record days, I'd agree.
